...Komandoo in the Maldives? Thanks to a chistmas bonus it is looking like
this year's holiday destination.
It seems like the ideal resort for us (me + [currently] non-diving g/f), it
seems from what I've read to have good diving round the atol, be a very
nice, a bit special even, resort, all inclusive with a dive centre on site.
The bumph on the resort suggests a good house reef for snorkelling and easy
dives too.
So:
- Any of you been there?
- Who are good people to book with? (I don't mind doing the legwork to get
a good deal...)
- Any other recomendations?
- Anything to look out for? (first time to Maldives for me at least)
- What is the diving actually like?
Many thanks

Return for Kuredu which is the neighhbouring island just over a month ago so
can't comment on the resort but the diving is excellent. One of the best
dives was the Kuredu Express with grey reef sharks and eagle rays.
The dive operation on Komandoo is run by the same outfit, Prodivers and
all i can say is they are the best dive operation i have been diving with.

The only other tip i can give is book the sea plane which was a 40
minute flight from Male.

Thanks Kevin. From what I've read so far I think Komandoo has a seaplane
transfer built into most packages but I'll be sure to check!
Good to hear some positive feedback on the diving and the operator.
Cheers
