Let the unwary beware. Along MOST of the Sp coast diving is specifically
prohibited for under 16s. Many dive ops will take divers younger than this
down, despite the law. However to do so might lead to arrest / prosecution
if and where and when the authorities might see fit. I don't know whether a
defence of "having got away with it before" would wash in court. Would such
a defence be of any use in the case of different allegations?

Ken, did you read the article? It has nothing to do with under 16s -its
about 3 commercial divers getting busted for allegedly diving on a
prohibited wreck that they claim they were nowhere near. Or summat.

Yes I did read the article. Meanwhile, additionally, it is also the case
that a diving family might get themselves into hot water with Sp authorities
if one or more of their number is an appropriately certified under-16 diver.
THAT was my point, quite separate from the original post and prompted by
diving and legal matters.
