As of 1st October 2005 I am no longer a single man, sorry girls :-(

For a couple of photo's (thanks Nigel) see
http://www.nigelhewitt.co.uk/stuff/2005-10-01/

Been back from cancun for a few hours now, still not sure what day of
the week it is never mind what time!

To keep it slightly on topic did 3 dives out there, first was a reef
in 8m of water (first OC dive in a couple of years) All went okay,
some nice life etc. Next dive was on the P55 a wreck that either a
marine accident or deliberately sunk for divers depending on who you
listen to. Good wreck dive in 25m of water engine room is still pretty
complete. On start of ascent, 50 bar in cylinder noticed that I could
only get 1/2 a breath out of the regs, checked pressure guage, at
start of breath 50 bar, 1/2 a breath later 0 bar..... I hate hired
regs. Ascended on DM's occy at surface breathing was better but no
great. Did a second dive (8m reef) on the same regs and started ascent
at 100 bar, on the surface breathed them down and at aobut 40-50 bar
same problem.

Checked with centre out there showed them the issue, also discovered
that if you put them on a full cylinder it took about 15-20 seconds
for the pressure guage to 'fill up' Regs were serviced there and then
and the cone filter was green, I am sure they are meant to be clear.

I was not overly impressed but very glad it was me who didn't panic
but calmly found more gas than a student on his first AOW deep dive
who may have had a different reaction.

Neways awaiting congrats from everyone :-)

Congratulations Danny! I hope you and your new better half had a fantastic
day...

BTW - I wish someone who teach Nigel how to use the 'scale' function in his
favourite paint program! lol
