All,
Given Jason's post and other discussion, who fancies doing what diving with
the UKRS crew next year?
Jason already has boat bookings for next year out of Weymouth, I'm
definitely going to run a Scotland trip (looking like the wrecks of the
Firth of Forth), Digs has said she'll do the Clyde and Paul and Hills are
looking into the possibility of the Summer Isles on a liveaboard basis.
Now, (sorry Digs - I don't know if you were keeping schtum to see if anyone
else would take it on...) Digs has already offered to coordinate the launch
of next year's diving season with Icebreakers 2006 (If you want me to do the
web stuff, let me know...).
So who else has a trip that they want to run? You can either (like me) opt
to show the UKRS divers your local area, run a trip from your favourite dive
boat, organise something somewhere you've always wanted to dive or for
whatever other reason (I even did a Rescue Diver training one!) you like.
Bung your ideas in here and gauge the responses!
Cheers

There are lots of them in recreational depths (and some in technical depths
but its my trip so nothing *silly* deep!!!) including an aircraft carrier, a
grumman avenger plane, submarines armed trawlers and more and, of course,
the awesome Blae Rock wall dive which has scared the bejeezus out of me
twice out of two dives...
...any takers?

This is in the Firth of Forth?
If so, I'd love to dive there (being originally from Edinburgh!), but the
logistics of getting there from deepest, darkest Devon are - well, not so
much intersting, as time consuming and expensive in petrol these days )-:
Ah well...

It is in the Firth of Forth - there are loads and loads of diveable marks,
both wreck and scenic. By arranging the diving on the Fife side keeps the
costs of accomodation down so you'll save there...
...anyway, wait and see, there may be the potential for car share and
whatnot...

An Aircraft carrier? Which?
Yes, I'm somewhat interested.

Well I am already planning to run 4 trips next year, dates already
booked with skippers, so I am not planning to take on any more.

I'm going to be back in Scotland from late next summer - I'll certainly
be up for doing ANYTHING dive related after my Deutschland Dessication.

And Falmouth and it's that one that I need to get a few names and deposits
together for first as they want a reasonable sized deposit to confirm the
booking.

I was thinking that a shallowish weekend in Plymouth might be a good idea.
We could do the Scylla and the James Egan Layne. Hopefully get some new
people turning up. Whilst traffic's been low on here recently, it peaks
enough to make me believe there are quite a lot of lurkers.
I'd also like to do a Portsmouth weekend at some point. There's plenty of
wrecks in about 30m.

I'd be well up for that, after the one I did last year, it would be really
nice to come back down and see how Scylla has changed (and to see if I can
get through the James Eagan Layne without anymore drysuit damage...)

I'd be up for that too (cash and time permitting)...
