Backplate/wing rental in Cornwall?

Hi all, I'm going to be spending a week in Cornwall in early August,
staying just outside Penzance.  I plan to bring a 7mm wetsuit, mask and
fins, and thought I might try some snorkeling/easy freediving with a
camera from the shore in spots such as Lamorna Cove.

I thought I might try booking a scuba dive one of the days I'm there.
However, I didn't want to haul along my whole scuba kit from
California.  Although I could probably make do with a typical rental
kit, I've gotten very used to diving at home with a backplate and wing.
I don't suppose there are any scuba operations in that part of
Cornwall that have rental equipment along these lines?  Thanks for any
input.

Hi Frank,

I'm not sure you'll be able to find anything like that.  Standard gear
will be easy enough, but the backplate and will may be tricky to get
hold of.

If you don't get any further, drop me a line (the end of the email
address is .ac.uk), and I'll fix you up with one of my spares.

Regards,

Rich
