Imagine the scene.

Mick was a seasoned old diver and was never seen without his trusty 3lb lump
hammer. His personal preference was to dive with it tied to a lanyard that
was
firmly secured around his wrist. As he moved across a wreck it would sound
like
a sound track to a horror movie, where the young heroine is running away
from the
evil club footed  murderer. All you would hear from any part of the wreck
would be
THUMP....THUMP...THUMP. One dive Mick was  as usual thumping his way
around a wreck when he came face to face with an Angler fish. Divers who
meet Angler
fish under water tend to give them a wide berth due to there well known bad
temper.
Not Mick, not wanting to be put of from his thumping Mick tried to shooosh
the thing
away with his hammer. The fish on the other hand did not want to be
shooooshed
anywhere and promptly ate the hammer which unfortunately for Mick was tied
to his wrist.
At this point Mick had two options. The first was to get the fish off the
hammer and the
second was to get the hammer off of him. He chose the first option and
smacked the hammer
down in an attempt to knock the fish off. Most divers know that Angler fish
are like the pit-bulls
of the ocean, for Mick though it was at this point that he then realised
that he had
picked a fight with psycho the angler fish, who had been pushed around by
one to many divers
The fish just sneered at him and promptly ate the rest of the hammer up to
the lanyard.
Mike then realised he had only one last means of defence against this
frenzied fish that was
slowly about to eat him. He got his knife out and swiftly cut the lanyard
free. He swears to this
day that the fish was smirking as it calmly swam away only pausing for a
second while spat
out his hammer.

I fear you have spent too much time spent buying drinks for the Ancient
Diver. Has he told you the one about the scorched body of a scuba diver
found in the ashes of a forest fire?

Cliff.
