Imagine the scene.

A large dive boat with twelve divers in various states of kitting up.
Fred is sat at the entrance hole to the water and refuses to move
out of anyone's way, stating "its a good spot and I found it first".
This is in the days of ABLJ's and 7ltr twins. While remaining seated
during kiting up, Fred throws the strap of his ABLJ over his head
and fishes it out from between his legs to fasten it. After kitting up
and still in the seated position he states "that's me ready" and jumps in.
He only made it into the water up to his knees, mainly due to the fact
that his ABLJ strap was wrapped once around the mast rigging wire.
After about 20 seconds of hanging there screaming abuse at everyone
and their kids, the ABLJ strap tore out of  the material and Fred
dropped into the water.

He still managed to complete his dive.
