I guess this message is mainly for Al. It has been some time now since
the trip page of the website was updated. The lists of dives that have
already taken place stop at #118, whilst number #129 is currently taking
place. There also seems to be a number of links that have not been
posted showing trip reports for trips that have taken place.

Indeed.  I get the impression that Al is up to his eyes in other stuff (but
will, no doubt, correct me if I'm wrong...).

I'm sure there are other willing volunteers with a few minutes spare that
can take some of the UKRS stuff off his plate?

Al is up to his eyes in other stuff having just moved house and having
his workload trippled (for the same money, you know the story ...)

Although it runs on one of my servers, KeithL is technically the boss
of it all, and I'm sure he's open to suggestions. (It is "our" website
afterall!) But give Al. a few days and I'm sure he'll be here himself
and make the updates.

Oddly enough, I was under the impression that the dive-list stuff was
automated and extracted from one of Jasons servers, but I might be wrong!

The current trips are automated. The past trips and trip reports aren't,
though it would be possible to allow people to add links to trip reports
to their own trips, just a fair bit of work.

That would be a useful addition. However sometimes we have multiple
reports, often not by the organiser.

nothing worse than a website with (for instance) "last updated
20/07/2002"... "you are visitor number 3".... "please wait while it
loads"....

Sadly and obviously, someone hasn't got their priorities correct.

Sorry folks my comment was in no way a criticism of Al. So wasn't
looking for sarcastic comments of the way he does his updates.

Some would argue the opposite....
