I've just been informed by The Guardian that I've won two tickets to the
London International Dive Show at Excel in the Docklands over the weekend
of March 5th/6th, but have found that I'm double booked for that weekend
and can't go.

The tickets are worth ?7 each (?9.50 on the door) and I'm willing to let
someone have the pair for a ?10 donation to the Tsunami relief fund.  I
don't physically have them at the moment but have had an email saying they
will be in the post soon and will get them out First Class to any purchaser
ASAP

Interested?

The same fund that has far too much money than it can spend already and
is thinking of sending the cash into Africa instead?

Can you not think of another worthy cause?

I thought it might be relevant to divers - how about I say ?10 to any
mutually acceptable charity?  Cousteau Foundation?  PADI Project AWARE?
NSPCC?  RSPCA?  All suggestions accepted

If you're looking for a charity that's benefited UK divers for decades, look
no further then the RNLI.

How about one for disabled scuba divers, I realise I am too late for
this one!! But for future charitable contributions from scuba divers this is
an admirable cause. Take a look at www.scubatrust.com , I have been a helper
at their monthly trydives for a short time and the look on the faces of the
people with disabilities when they are weightless for the first time in
their lives is worth every moment with them. All the team are wonderful
people, come and see us at the dive show if you would like to learn more.
    cheers Neil

They are hardly short of money, check up how many years operating funds they
have in reserve. Nearly costs them their charitable status.
