Calipso www.calipso-diving.com dived with them  last year and about seven years
ago, and yes you will need a dive medical, well I did last year.
Every one will tell you how friendly they are. Full details on

and don't forget to see a seahorse!

My wife & I have also dived several times with Peter & Heather at Calypso,
who (I believe) were the 1st centre on Lanzarote to  offer Nitrox.

You could also look at www.deco-stop.com who are also in Costa Teguize and,
although I've not dived with them, I did had a long chat with Lee, who
sounded well clued up.  They started about three years ago and, like
calypso, are British owned & run.

If you get to go to Playa Blanca in the south you should also try Dive
College, who we dived with three years ago.  Also very nice operation (on
the beach) with a ice range of shore and boat dives.   They also have
Nitrox. http://www.scubalanzarote.co.uk/diving-lanzarote/dive-college.htm

Ditto to what Chrystianne just said. I dived with them last October and
found them to be a very efficient and friendly bunch. Although they are
based in Costa Teguise there is no diving there and they tend do do all
their dives out of Mala, or Puerto del Carmen. However all transport is
provided.

Did you dive with Ingrid? did the Temple Hall dive with her, think she enjoyed
diving with four experienced BSAC divers, but could not understand how we were
not cold after 80 mins in shorties while she was cold in a semi dry.

Yes dived with Ingrid at Mala, and Chris, Andy and Pete at both Mala and
Puerto del Carmen. I had the same experience as you Derek, they thought
I was mad to be wearing a shorty. I think they also "enjoyed" my version
of diving with a buddy. I was usually a case of pairing everyone up then
saying "Steve can you please try and stay somewhere close to the rest of
us."

Likewise, Chris asked me just to stay in the same ocean as the others !
