My wife has recently started diving.

I already have an Alladin Pro Ultra Computer and am contemplating getting
her one as well.

The Sunnto Vyper is reasonable at the moment but I'm aware that they will be
runnig slightly different profiles.

Is the difference significant, and is it worth diving as a pair with one of
us on each type.

Thanks

Alistair

Your right they will probably give slightly different no deco times and deco
time (if you get into deco). However the difference will not be all that
significant. Most people that do this simply follow the most conservative.
One thing about the Vyper that isn't always understood is the 3 min safety
stop. It will always give you a 3 mins stop between 6 and 3. This is not
actually mandatory, its padding. What I tend to do is do a minute or so at 6
then slowly move up to 3 pause and then slowly move to the surface i.e. not
much different to what your taught from paper tables.
