Hi all,

Just came across an ad for the Martec Full Metal Jacket in Diver mag (p78).
Has anybody seen/used one? Any comments? The obvious one is "How many
D-rings does one need?" but any imput from users would be great.

Cheers

Greg

The guy who came up with idea for the Martec, is Bob Scullion of Marsden
Dive Centre. He's well into the teckie / suicide aspect of diving and is a
rebreather instructor. Having dived with Bob on several occasions, his
mentality is that 'you can never have too many attachment points'! which
possibly explains why he's such a wreck scavenger.I haven't actually used
one of the jackets but I can tell you that they are as tough as old boots
and look the part as well.I would suggest that you go for the 'tekkie black'
version as opposed to the red which I thought was a bit gaudy.I know there
are several 'add ons' but the best guy to speak to would obviously be Bob
himself. - 0191 4277820.
WARNING - don't ask him about wrecks if your calling from a mobile!!!!!!!
well, not unless you've got shares in Vodafone ;-)
