Surely the person in the photo would have noticed... or someone taking the
photo... or the editor... or the writer... or someone before they printed
that!
Clearly never heard of BSAC either: "... normal-style regulator as an
alternative air source, rigged conventionally on the right."

Thanks mate, not received mine.
I just knew I was missing something this week.
OBTW for those who were interested, Mrs Splosh passed her IDC & IE and
passes on her thanks to the well wishers. She's also got stuffy
(well-earned actually) and landed a job at the Blue Planet - and no it
doesn't entitle me to free dives, I'll still have to pay ?75!!
As opposed to the ?20 that it costs to Anglesey (dogfish city) & back.

I hope she enjoys it here - i would love to be on the dive staff, but have
to make do with looking after the computers.
BTW staff & immediate relatives get a 33% discount, so you'll be able to
get it for ?50

Funnily enuff I've seen people wrap the hose in that fashion, though not
that tightly (2 loops with 2m hose). IIRC the fellow in the picture normally
(when he isn't taking the p) favours both regs clipped onto a necklace, with
either 2 short(er) hoses or a bungeed longhose.

It's amazing how wrong a first impression can be.
I thought the idea of it wrappped (OK not *that* tight) was
err... well we'll leave that to my old opinionated days.
It wasn't until I tried it as the donor I realised how easy it was.
You must admit it doesn't look 'right' though does it folks?

Good . What is their excuse for still having the original article
on their website?
Bullshit Bantin strikes again. First the Bantin rig, then reef hooks,
now this.

Oh come of it. He's more fun than most of the diving press added up.
There are far too many 'serious' writers out there who let the possible
dangers go to their heads and forget we do it all for fun.

You must have a strange definition of fun, if you think it's fun to
advise people to dive to 50m on a single of air with a cylinder of
36% as backup. The problem is that someone inexperienced and naive
may confuse him with someone who knows something about diving.

50m? I thought it was 63m. Oh but he did share his buddy's deco gas
on the way up so it must be alright...
