I've got a Passat going the same way. (No contact
so I can see why the feedback is private.)
Sad. We've done a lot of diving together and it's
featured in a lot of trip reports like Icebreakers
2003 where I left the lights on and went diving.

You never did like it did you?

It was the exhaust falling off at Plymouth that finally
got to me. Cars that fall to bits are getting near the
end of their time. It was a free car though so I got
value for money.

It has been very useful to me in the past, it's got me to icebreakers
twice, plus other quick lifts here and there. However..... That speedo
on the way to icebreakers this year was a nightmare, if I hadn't lost
all hope of sanity years ago it would have gone then!

What has it been replaced with?

Could you chuck it in Swithland? There's bugger all to see apart from
the Jag at 50m and rotting leaves.
