Hi Folks,
Didn't want to hijack the other palm based thread, so starting my own.
I would like to connect my Aladin up to a ViewSonic V37 Pocket PC. I'm
assuming, similar to my resposne to the palm query, that i'll need to get a
serial port available on the PPC, then just jack in the Aladin connector,
and run some software (like pDiveLog).
Anyone know where a chap might get hold of said serial cable (can find USB,
but no serial anywhere), or the wiring diagram (and connector for the PDA
end) to build one his-self?
Cheers,
Gavin.

Might be worth thinking about making an IrDA interface, although I'm not
sure if you can bypass the protocol and access the port directly (assuming
the pda has one!)
A serial port seems to be mandatory for all PDAs, but only for debug, so all
PPCs might be standard ;-)

Cheers, now all I need to do is track down a serial cable for the ViewSonic
V37 somewhere in the UK, else it'll be an expensive import via Amazon.com.
