Does anybody have an opinion about diving in Belize in October/beginning
November? Good or bad weather?

Two words:  Hurricane season.

I was there in Oct last year. Beautiful.
Belize has been hit by just 2 hurricanes in the last 25 years.

I can count three in the past 5 years.

Hurricane Mitch
Hurricane Keith
Hurricane Iris

Hurricane Mitch did not land in Belize. It landed in Honduras.
You are right about Keith and Iris. That makes 2.

On Ambergris Caye the waves came in 200' from the shoreline.  Main Street
flooded 2.5' deep.  They evacuated 6,000 people.  Not a good way to spend a
dive trip, so it certainly counts in my book regardless of where the
hurricane "landed".

My sentiments exactly, particularly since Mitch chewed up the reef, whereas
Keith and Iris did not.
