My good wife may have a convention scheduled for Vancouver the first
week of June and I'm thinking of perhaps joining her on the trip. Is
the diving close to Vancouver Island good, and is that early enuf to
avoid the algae bloom? Thanks for any advice.

Hello,

last year in the mid of june, we had a very bad visibility at Sechelt
and Powell River. Quadra Island and Nanaimo were much better. At
Victoria the visibility also was bad we heard from other divers.
But it was an extremly warm and sunny june last year.

Good luck!

It's better on the island. Get a hold of Miranda Aldritt. She'll be able
to take you to the best that Vancouver has to offer.

Depends. Probably not. Take your gear anyway.

Hello,

yesterday I had a look in the books by Betty Pratt Johnson.
Best visibility from November to February. The first algae bloom may
start in April to March, the second bloom in August to September.

Thanks. That's a start.
