In Key Largo i stayed and dived with AQUANUTS at mile marker 104 i
think....nice accommodation, pool, decking, good clean powerful boats,
friendly staff....couldn't fault them.

Dont know about Key West though.

Hi,
I'm a dive instructor and use Island Ventures at MM 104. It's a smaller
operation so they really treat you well and cater to your diving wants and
needs. The owner, Brian Berry, has two boats, so he can accommodate
different trips each day. Usually one boat goes to a wreck (I would
recommend the Spiegel Grove or Duane for advanced divers) and the other to
reefs. This shop goes to a lot of unmarked sites, so you stay away from the
crowds normally associated with Key Largo diving. I've been diving with most
all shops up and down Key Largo to Islamorada and am very happy with these
guys.
Their website address is www.islandventure.com and they boast "No Stress"
diving!
As for Key West, I personally think the diving is better in the Upper Keys
and reserve my Key West trips for drinking and watching the freaks at
Mallory Dock. Spend most of your time in Key Largo and Tavernier and just go
to Key West for a day or so. (I used to live and work as a dive instructor
in the Keys, so I have quite a bit of diving experience throughout the Keys
island chain.)
Have a good trip, no matter where you end up.
Sincerely,
Doris Pfister

Doris, I ALWAYS use this shop and Capt. Brain.  This is truly a "No
Stress" fun place to dive with...second the motion!  -Pat
