Anyone ever dive the sound and can you tell me anything about it? I

Current surface water temperature is in the low/mid 60's.

I haven't heard that; if I recall correctly.The "U-Who" was off of NY/
NJ. Besides, at ~240fsw, it is beyond recreational diving depths.

There is a 2 man sub from WWI off the beach in Bayville. Not much of it is
left to see. Said to be one of the best dive sites
on Long Island, it makes for a pretty poor dive. I did this dive a few
years ago and was very dissapointed, vis was around
10ft and not much too see. Head for the south shore for fantastic wreck
diving out of Captree, Sheepsshead Bay or Hempstead.
