May be diving in Mauritius in March.  Any recommendations on repudable
dive centres please?  Also, can anyone please tell me which side of the
island is better for diving?

Many thanks in advance

the diving is over on the eastern side of the island...as I recall.  The
fish were pretty scant (I recall lots of stone fish) but it would be a
mistake to travel to Mauritius only for the diving, as I did.

Also, be sure and not drink the water there.

Same for me, diving quite poor. Best spots north east of the island.

On the other hand:

I have just come back from 3 weeks superb diving in Mauritius:

Le Morne:

Fantastic drift dive. Sharks, eagle rays, stingrays, barracuda, nearly
every day. Current permitting!!

www.easydivemauritius.com/ Up-market operation 2 boats & Dive shop

Flic en Flac:

Dive Rampert Serpent, one of the best dives for creatures I have ever
seen.
Wreck of Tug II, Cathedral, lovely wall dive. & over 30 more spots.

Recommend Pierre Szaley www.pierre-szalay.com
More basic operation, open 23 years, very reasonable prices. Nitrox
available.

Mauritius has some excellent diving. It's harder to find but it is
there. Hire a car and get out of the hotels!

(If you want specific info. prices etc. drop me an email)
