Has something happened to Bob?   I haven't seen him around here in some
time. Somebody has to do the ranting.

The morons in this group bored me, after I've seen and heard the same
noise for over a decade.  :-)   No originality.  No SCUBA.

I have found much more worthwhile groups (and topics) to REFORM the
morons who call themselves "statisticians".  You should have seen my
ranting THERE!   :-)

This month's top posters  in sci.stat.math
113   "Reef Fish"
57   lic...@hotmail.com
38   Prisoner at War
26   Greg Heath
21   rich.ulr...@comcast.net
21   jtom...@ix.netcom.com

This is a VERY slow month because ALL the NOISE makers had
been beaten to death and left.   I had about 300 posts in each of the
preceding months.

For my spare time, I have taken the time to travel to Shanghai for
a week (last week) and am now back to Hong Kong for a few more
days before returning to the Redneck country.  Your post reminds
me that this is the first time I even looked at rec.scuba.locations
since I left for Shanghai, and I had internet access everyday.

If any of you want ot learn anything in, or about, statistics, try
getting
your feet wet in sci.stat.math.

So what's the diving like at Shanghai? (:-)

When I was there in '90 I used to stand on the Bund and sing the start
of 'Road to Hell (part 2)' to myself.

'I'm standing by a river but the water doesn't flow
It boils with every poison you can think of'

The visibility is poor and the weather a bit too chilly.   Otherwise,
the
Shanghai canal (that resembled the Venetian canal) might be a
reasonable
drift dive when the tide is changing.  :-)   The current washes a fair
bit
of the debris from women washing their clothes at the steps walking
down
to the canal.

Shanghai has changed quite a bit since the 90s.  But the diving
condition is unlikely to be ever "divable".  :-)

I should have known Jack was asking about the
officious, non-diver, dysfunctional twerp who hangs
around the rec.scuba groups!

bob crownfield drones>  quantity, rather than quality.

Spots on!   BINGO!!

bob crownfield:   quantity = near zero.
                           quality  = zero.

And don't want your schinkin' Laugh of the Week Award
that sent the group spilling coffee all over the monitors
in the internet cafe visualizing bob crownfield in his
naked clown suit.

His Royal Pomposity does not even make any sense here.

No. I was asking about you.   Just wondered if you had died...I suppose your
answer means you have not.

You acknowledged that 4 days ago.

Too much beer at the street corner of Cozumel does tend to
have the effect of numbing one's sense of humor or awareness
to satire (on my response to bob crownfield).  :-)

Ah, as alcohol-saturated as you were, you still hadn't lost your
brilliant sense of deduction, which would normally be flawless.

But in the case of RF Bob, he actually died (in his 11th life),
but because the groundhog didn't see his shadow, Bob was
resurrected by the Easter Bunny to start his new life as
preacher on the statistics circuit, as well as the cruising and
flying circuits to be too busy to drop intho this group to BS
about diving.

Hope you had a wunnerful Tanksgiving.
