Anyone hear about a fire on a cruise ship in Cozumel?

I was in Cozumel the last week of July and on our return from a morning
two tank dive we witnessed a brief (5 min) but serious fire on one of
the cruise ships.  There was very black smoke pouring out of one or two
cabins near the top of the ship.  After about 3-5 minutes the smoke turn
white which we were told was steam from the water getting to the fire
(one of the divers on the boat was a fireman from Ohio).  A minute or
two after that we turned the corner and lost sight of the ship.  I think
it was a Norwegian Cruise Line ship and it was docked at the only
working dock at the south piers.  I think it was Sunday July 29th but it
could have been Saturday.  I Goggled "Cozumel cruise ship fire" the next
day....nothing.  And I've still not seen anything.  I can't believe they
could keep something like this out of the news/internet.  There had to
be 100 people in and around that ship with cameras....

Haven't seen any press releases from any of the lines about this.

BTW, it couldn't have been a Sunday, Cozumel is closed to cruise ships
on Sunday.

Yup, there is a God.

Maybe they were just fumigating Bob-a-ling's cabin?

Yes, you are correct.  no cruise ships on Sunday so it must have been
Saturday.

Regardless, I've seen no press releases or news on it.  And there
would be news.
