Just some information.  Right now Air Jamaica is have a great sale to Bonaire
from some of the Northeast cities such as Newark, Philly and Baltimore.  I
only check rates until the end of the year, but the price I found was what we
paid from Newark almost 10 years ago.  It was $434.00 RT.

Also found out that Continental is flying direct, non-stop starting Dec 16th.
It is a red-eye.  You leave at just before midnight on Saturday night and get
in to Bonaire at 5:40 am on Sunday (remember Bonaire is 1 hour ahead in the
winter, so your body will feel like it is 4:40 am).  You depart Bonaire the
following Sunday at 7:00 am and get in to Newark at 10:45am.

I don't know how long the Air Jamaica fares will last, I tried to find
something on their website, but there wasn't  anything.

Just letting all know.

Given Air Jamaica's on time performance, I don't think I'll be booking
with them on anything except a trip to Jamaica.

Actually they have gotten much better over the last 8 months or so.  We have
flown them 6 times without incident since they held the plane for us to make
our connection last year.
