My wife and I want to return to scuba diving after a 7 year absence.  We
have not kept up with information
regarding locations.

We have previously been to Grand Cayman and Cozumel and had good diving
experiences in both places but
that was many years ago.

We do not like drift diving, we prefer a stationary boat plus available
shore diving.  We have heard that Rotan
is a good place without too much current to fight.

Can any of you offer any current info to us as to conditions in Grand
Cayman, Rotan and Cozumel?  We will
appreciate any info and suggestions as to where to begin planning for a dive
trip early in 2007.

Thanks

Sunset House in Grand Cayman meet's this criteria.  So does Habitat
Curacao and Sand Dollar Condos in Bonaire.

Cozumel is all drift diving, so forget about that place.

If we don't succeed, we run the risk of failure.

Short sweet and to the point.  I agree.

Roatan is good.  I really liked CoCo View.

Why not drift diving?  It's so easy.  On a 60 foot dive, I can easily
push up to NDL and still have gas.

Usually pisses off dive masters, but I'm paying to dive, not sit in
the boat.

Things are about the same as always.  There's some storm damage, but the
diving is good.  Grand Cayman has lots of non diving activities, little
current and some very nice boat and shore diving.  Cozumel has some really
nice restaurants, but you have to look to find them.  The diving is great,
but it's pretty much all drift diving.  If you don't want to drift, find
someplace else to go.  I don't know anything about Rotan or Roatan, which is
what I think you meant to type.
