Thinking of trying a Bahamas liveaboard next year and I was hoping
someone might have tried a liveaboard sailboat called the Juliet. It
sails out of Miami and also runs trips to the Turks and caicos in the
winter. Anyybody try them?

Never heard of them, are they new?  Having said that, if you want to
embark from Florida and dive the Bahamas, Nekton Cruises is a good
company.  Here is my trip report from a couple of years ago
http://www.pathcom.com/~bracuk/Trips/NektonPilotNorth.htm.

About 10 years before that trip, I did a similar trip on the Bottom
Time 2, which I believe is still in service.  I found that boat to be
uncomfortable and will never sail with them again.

Another company that does similar itineraries is Blackbeard's.  I have
never been on one of their boats - they are a bit too rustic for me.

I'm not sure if the Juliet is a new operation.  I got their info from
this site :

Having lived in Fort Lauderdale between '90 and '03, I'm familiar with
the Nekton Pilot (always saw it docked under the 17th St causeway), but
the price is kinda steep ( about $1800 for a week). The rate for a week
on the Juliet is about $1300. For two divers that's about a thousand
back in one's pocket.  Although their price is even lower than
Juliet's, I've read some crappy reviews of Blackbeard Cruises so I'm
not so sure about them either.

I saw a sailboat that was a dive boat come in to Bimini in 2001, but I
didn't get the name of it.
