Can anyone recommend a cheap clean hotel in the west end of Roatan. Any
thoughts on diving out the west end?

Sueno del Mar has Hotel/diving packages available for 7?nights, 8 days
with 5 days of diving starting at $355. Package prices include
accommodations, airport transfers, 3 boat dives each day, and one night
dive. http://www.suenodelmar.com

Nicer yet is Las Rocas.. 7 nights lodging in bungalow with A/C,
minibar, private porch with hammock and ocean view - transfers from/to
the airport - continental breakfast served in the room - 2 boat dives a
day (including tank and weight belt) - 1 night dive.

Sueno is not doing airport transfers. It's $10 US from the airport to
Sea Breeze Inn which Sueno partners with in the packages. You don't
need to do a package either - they will still get you a room at the
hotel. You can just buy a dive package at the shop - run a tab
(including any goodies you buy at the shop). When you hit 5 dives the
price drops to $20 or less per dive. The hotel snagged us a cab for
the return to the hotel and negotiated the price at $10 so we would
not get ripped off.
