Hey,
I want to go for a holiday to Sharm El Sheikh! Whats it like in the Na'ama
bay area?
Main reason I ask is because its cheaper to stay there, and I wonder if its
because its not as good, scuba/snorkelling wise.

Na'ama bay is the main diving place - its very touristy but I quite
like it, I'm off there in February.

To stay in Naama Bay it would would normaly cost you more than staying
elsewhere, it is where all the shopping and restaurants are, unless you
want to go down to El Maya a few km away (the old town by the boat dock).

At Naama Bay you have the "Gardens" dive site's and the snorkling along
the reef there is as good as anywhere.
You can see my thoughts on Sharm on the link below.

Hi,
For a review of my trip there, see:

But remember that 3 of the hotels there were recently bombed by terrorists

Cheaper places can be found in Na'ama Bay by being across the highway
(i.e. not a beach front hotel). Stayed at a place for $15 a night years
ago. Comfortable and quiet. Worked out quite well. Grab a Lonely Planet
book for Egypt and read through it to get some ideas.

There certainly are cheaper places, one of them would be the Pidgeon
House, if i was single and 21 again i might (i said might) think about it.
