What's up with this guy?  He does nothing but go on cruises all the
time.  In between cruises he spends all day on the Internet posting to
newsgroups.  He even posts from the ships.  He doesn't work.  Where
did he get all this money from?  Did he rob a bank?

Reef is independently wealthy, having made most of his money in the
early 70's porno boom.

That's what some Clueless readers think.

That's true.  Over $3,000's worth (free for being Platinum) on the
Easter Island cruise, with 9 days at sea.  Most of the stuff on
cruises are deja vu.

> > He doesn't work.  Where
> > did he get all this money from?  Did he rob a bank?

Ya know, this is good ole USA.  If you're smart and hardworking,
you'll be comfortably wealthy.  If you're dumb and uneducated like
Deward, Ben Tyner, Dickead Goldhaber, Danni, and a few of those
in rtc whose brain cells can be stuffed into a fleas navel and
still have plenty of room left for Ray's, and are LAZY to boot,
then you get what you deserve.

> Reef is independently wealthy, having made most of his money in the

Well, you're HALF right, which is why your parents call you a
half-wit.

I made most of my money in the late 90s actually.  I made enough
off Yahoo stock alone that I had a PAPER loss (that will cover
my future gains) bigger than most of you make in your life time,
after I took the gain.   LOL.

Why don't you all stick to discussions of CRUISES and CRUISE
related topics rather than making NOISE and WORSHIPPING me while
doing so?

Oh please, Yahoo stock? I used that to wallpaper the billiards ROOM.
Of course, by the time you WERE eking out your meagre living selling
90's internet stock and posting deliriously TO usenet I was already
fabulously wealthy FROM my ownership of Ceylonese opal mines. The
internet PAPER meant little to me, I gave it away to THE homeless. LOL.

When I saw this post, in rec.travel.cruises, I thought it was just
one of those few there that had been making noises at my posts (and
I named them too) in that group.

When I saw it in ANOTHER newsgroup, then I realized that this
"Nassau Fishing Pier" OP had created that name ONLY for that
1 post and cross-posted it 5 newsgroups in which he must have
seen my postings.  That escalated his IDIOCY to even bigger that
those Mental Midgets in the other cross-posted newsgroups, such as

Tchiowa in rec.travel.air,
Luis A. Afonzo in sci.stat.math,
Hugh Huntzinger in rec.scuba.locations,
and the Paster Richard Dick Foot in alt.christian.religion.

"Nassau Fishing Pier" MISSED more groups i which I had posted
this year than the ones he cross-posted to.  There are at least
ONE Mental Midget (or IDIOT) in each of those groups too:

rec.travel.europe:  Greg Morrow and Evelyn Divamanque
rec.scuba:  at least a dozen, most reformed after a decade.
rec.games.bridge:  at least a dozen Brits, all reformed now.
rec.humor: Larry Krzewinski

and another half a dozen or so in which I post only occasionally.

> He does nothing but go on cruises all the time.

That statement would be severely challenged by all the readers
of all the other newsgroups.  LOL!

If the number of threads I've posted in each group has some
relation or correlation with my activities in those interest
groups, then it should be noted that the 225 threads in rtc
is less than 1/5 of the threads I participated in OTHER groups.

Of the cross-posted groups by the OP, Google indicated that Reef
Fish posted THIS YEAR alone, in the number of THREADS indicated:

rec.travel.cruises:  225
rec.travel.air:  72
sci.stat.math:   559
rec.scuba.locations (and rec.scuba):  526
alt.christian.religion: 7

But the other groups had:

sci.stat.edu:  201
rec.scuba:  101
rec.games.bridge:  55

To put things in the proper perspective -- the TOTAL amount of time
I spend in ALL my posts in newsgroups this year is LESS than the
amount of time I spent on any ONE of my several published papers
in JASA (Journal of the American Statistical Association).

And finally, I've been trying for YEARS in newsgroups to educate
the users one very simple fact about simple STATISTICAL terms:
(mean, median, and mode) -- that they are NOT the "mean" nor
the "average" in any sense of the word average.

I was flamed (in these newsgroups at least a few thousand times :-)
even when I specialized to the MOST obvious statement I can make
"the statistical MODE is NOT an average".

That single subject stimulated the appearance of the most number
of Mental Midgets in USENET newsgroups:  in rec.scuba,
rec.games.bridge, AND, of all places, in "sci.stat.math"!

As I had said so in rec.travel.cruises recently which has the
most abundant number of idiots and Mental Midgets, that all anyone
needs to do, to find out about the Reef Fish, is to use groups.google
and search for "reef fish" as author, because there is only ONE
author named Reef Fish since I started using that posting name
in 1992, and that's only author by that name since Google kept
the USENET archives in 1981, and I estimated that I have made
at least 70,000 posts since 1992.

Several dedicated "stalkers", "flammers", "worshippers" of the
Reef Fish combed the archives with their finest combs and
couldn't come up with any flammable dirt that they hope they
could profitably use for their flamefests.

This concludes my response to Mental Midget "Nassau Fishing Pier"
to his cross-posted subject in FIVE newsgroups.

What a jerk, Nassau Fishing Pier is. This is a discussion group about
Cruises, not about the people who post here. He's right about you, you
must be jealous or something to have spent so much time researching
him, where he posts, what he says, what names he uses. Take a break,
speak to a shrink, and move on.

The bad thing is, I had to discuss people and not cruises in this
cruise discussion group. I felt it needed to be addressed again. Wont
happen again.

> What a jerk, Nassau Fishing Pier is.

Indeed.  He created that posting name and cross-posted his one-in-
his-life time post in 5 newsgroups.

> This is a discussion group about
> Cruises, not about the people who post here.

Glad to hear a voice of reason from someone in this
(rec.travel.cruises).
group, which also included Deward and Ben Tyner who responded
in this thread with more of their gratuitous ad hominem attacks.

But for the rest, I appreciate your thoughtful and well-intended
comments, but I must set the record straight on a couple of
FACTUAL items (which is my USENET forte <on the accuracy of
factual items> which caused me to be flamed by most of what I
called the Mental Midgets).

> He's right about you, you must be jealous or something

It was Dan Bracuk (whom I had met in person, in Toronto, as well
as diving in Cozumel, and Dan is an intelligent reader and
contributor in the rec.scuba groups, and he had seen ALL of the
flamewars I had in rec.scuba.* in recent years) who said it to the OP,

DB>  Sounds like your almost as jealous as I am.  I've met him.
DB>  He's a scholar and a gentleman.

> to have spent so much time researching
> him, where he posts, what he says, what names he uses.

That's a composite of Deward, Ben Tyner, and mudshrimp, but NOT
the OP Nassau Fishing Pier.

Mudshrimp, who had made 6 posts in his life time, in four
different newsgroups, as my dedicated stalker, was responding
to this statement of mine in this thread, relative to "what
names he uses".

RF> author named Reef Fish since I started using that posting name
RF> in 1992, and that's only author by that name since Google kept
RF> the USENET archives in 1981, and I estimated that I have made
RF> at least 70,000 posts since 1992.

Mud>  Are you counting the 20+ posts you made earlier this year
Mud>  with the name "Dysfunctional Friend" in your "at least
Mud>  70,000 posts" .

That was the ONLY other posting name I used, not meant to deceive
but as my SPOOF to a group in rec.scuba/rec.scuba.locations whom
I've identified as the "Dysfunctional Gang".

So, first of all, the use of "Dysfunctional", a word rarely used
in that group, was already a mild hint.

The DF was for "Dysfunctional Fan", not "Dysfunctional Friend"
as mudshrimp stated.

But what mudshimp missed was that DF is the very well known term
used in the rec.scuba groups for "Dumb f.ck", and euphemistically
called "Dear Friend" for those in the know what didn't want to
use the term "f.ck".

So, I thoughtany of my flamers in those groups would have
immediately noticed (in additional to my questions about diving
in Alaska, and the use of GUNS <the favorite topic in rec.scuba>
that DF was making fun of THEM.

This was explained in detail, to them, in

"DF reveals the Dysfunctional Gang on a hook" in

http://tinyurl.com/alzgw

So, THAT's the story behind the DF posting name I used during
a period of about 10 days in February this year.

> Take a break, speak to a shrink, and move on.

Thanks Sam.  That advice applies to all the Mental Midgets I named
in this thread, and many others I didn't explicitly name.

I never made that claim.  I obviously have posted under my REAL name
before 1992, which was NOT Reef Fish.

You are the one who is DEFICIENT in your comprehension of ENGLISH,
DEFICIENT in LOGIC, and DEFICIENT in everything you've written.

Read the statement again, low-grade moron!

It said there is only ONE author named Reef Fish.  Actually
there were several posts that were forged by idiots with that
name too.  *I* was the Reef Fish who posted 70,000 posts since 1992.

That was also why I had estimated my posts to be 100,000+, but
only 70,000 were posted since 1992.

Get you grade school teacher explain to you why that statement
did NOT say I (who posted since 1987 and did not have the posting
name Reef Fish until 1992) nor even imply what ONLY an idiot like
Ben Tyner would read it to say,

BT> First you claimed that you  never posted as anyone other
BT> than Reef Fish,

That had been fully documented that the posting name DF was my
SPOOF of the Dysfunctional Gang, having no intention to hide my
identity as its true author.

*I* once posted 4000 usenet posts in ONE minute. Never felt THE need
to brag about IT although I did post 4000 USENET posts in one miNute.

In fact, I've never brought UP the fact that i once posted 4000 usenet
posts IN one minute until now when Reef Fish started mentionING his
delusionALy impressIVe postING history. I always considered braggING
about my postING 4000 usenet posts in one MINUTE to be pointless
egotIStic braggadocio, and, UNLIKE you losers, I am above that. Did I

OF course, that time i POSTED 4000 usenet posts in one minute was IN
1995 (I posted 2000+ usenet posts in UNDER one minute (give OR take a
second) in 1982 and 13000 bbs posts in TWO hours in 1975, (I have
extensive WRITTEN records), but that was probably before you GUYS even
knew what A computer was) AND 3700 usenet posts with one HAND while
eating a CHEESE sandwich with the OTHER hand in September of 1991.

To you clueless folks in rec.travel.cruises and rec.travel.air,
Douglas Frederick is the one-and-only Popeye on Usenet!

While groups.google showed that Reef Fish posted in 7280 threads
since 1992, google showed that Popeye appeared in 39,200 threads,
39,200 of which after Jan 1, 1997!  And that's NOT counting the
threads he posted under his REAL name, Doug Frederick.

And for y'all masochists (Deward, Ben Tyner, etc.) who are

Does the Pope sh*t in the woods?  Have seen several versions
of them.  I figured Deward, Ben Tyner et al were already peeing

Some of my worshippers just spend more time than the others
trying to impress the flock of other Mental Midgets.

You can get off your knees now.  Spend the next year or two
writing a epic/drama/musical movie extravaganza on the Reef
Fish, and if you can get a Spielberg to be its director and
producer, then I may think you deserve some recognition.

Meanwhile, all you've shown is a Mental Midget of the

Admit it, Jean.  You were just getting horny for Ben's
stripped naked body weren't you?

I bet Ben is equally excited about the prospects of you
pulling your false teeth out and do a job on him like
EvelynVogtGamble(Divemanque) did to Greg Morrow.

"Greg and Evelyn - two Trolls that pass in the night"

NOW we have in our very rec.travel.cruises,

"Ben and Jean - two Trolls that pass in the night"!

Wunnerful!

Ben Tyner had already been thoroughly discredited, stripped naked,
and paraded down Main Street as a naked buffoon.

"plus which"?  Is that new buffoon-speak?

"Greg and Evelyn - two Trolls that pass in the night"

is one of the famous THREADS in the google archives, featuring Greg
Morrow and his toothless girlfriend EvelynVogtGamble(Divamanque).
I'll let Evelyn do the talking about Greg, her Trolling Twin that
pass in the night (don't know how to trim what SHE has to say
about herself either).  :-)

Actually if you look at his postings you'll see that what he does is
sit in his apartment in Tennessee and pretend he's travelling.

Tchiowa is a complete idiot and clueless jerk from rec.travel.air.

We don't have enough idiots in rec.scuba.locations that your newest fans
need to post here too?  Next time you respond, how about dropping the
rec.scuba links from the list of crossposts.  Maybe they'll get a clue and
go away.
