Has anyone stayed at the Villa Blanca hotel? Papa Hogs offers dive

We had friends who stayed there but this was back in 1999. The shore
dive was pretty good there. It was a drift dive - you either got a
cab upstream and drifted down to Papa Hogs, or started there and got a
cab back.
At that time though Villa Blanca didn't have a restaurant. There was
a restaurant between Villa Blanca and Papa Hogs, but it only served
breakfast and lunch. It was a big breakfast. Villa Blanca has a
pool.
We stayed at http://www12.virtualtourist.com/m/4a9c6/e9864/3/ Hotel
Aguillar, which has a pool and is right in town. No restaurant
though, but we would take a taxi out to Papa Hogs and eat breakfast
there.

We stayed at the Villablanca 2 years ago. The hotel is dated, but still not
to bad. As far as food goes they do have breakfast at the hotel. There is a
palapa by the pool which cooks breakfast. The Hogtown Diner next door is
really pretty dang good.
You can dive Villablanca reef in front of Papa Hogs, but its not all that
great. Papa Hogs is a good op with fast boats. I dove with the once and
would use them again if BlueXTSea was booked up.
Last time we went we did if cheaper through Funjet staying at Hotel Cozumel
and diving with Christi at BlueXTSea.

That is a great package, we like the location, we love eating breakfast at
Papahogs and watching the world go by while waiting for the divecrews to
load the boats. The owners are great and we got plenty of bottom time. The
shore dive is only fair. We've dove with them twice now and plan to go back
next Feb. The last time we were there you couldn't drink the tap water at
the Villablanca.
