Any suggestions on where to go for a diving holiday in late nov/dec?
Looking for something on the budget side - either land or liveaboard.
We are both intermediate level divers (dive in Canadian cold water).
Have been to Similian/Surin, Sipidan, Belize.  Are there any worthwhile
locations in central/south america?  Or would we be better looking at
something in Asia etc.  Look forward to your suggestions.

Thanks!

What do you like to see?  As far as budget goes, I think Roatan or Utila may
be the answer.

Budget liveaboard?  That would be Blackbeards.  Pay attention though,
they are budget for a reason.

Any particular reason you did not mention the Caribbean?

By budget I was referring to whole holiday (not necessarily bottom of
the heap dive operations).  Looking at spending a month and about $3000
including diving, accomodations and flights.  Want to spend 7-10 days
diving and the rest enjoying the place/culture/seeing sights/etc...

$3000 for two or per person?

Unless you can think of a place that has good enough diving for 7-10
days of enjoyment and good enough other stuff for 15-20 days of
enjoyment, the price doesn't really matter.

But of course, just cuz I can't doesn't mean nobody else can.

I can, if they aren't too picky about acco and where to eat.

What do you mean by "pay attention"? I've been considering Blackbeards.
What should I bee looking for?

Thanks,

John

Whether you will be happy with the level of creature comforts they
provide.  Some are, I'm not, we all decide for ourselves.

If you want a lot more comfort for a bit more money look at Nekton.
The diving from either boat should be about the same.

You are suggesting a place of which you don't even know the name?  In any
event, I believe you are referring to CocoView.

Cozumel in november is excellent and economical.
We always dive somewhere in november; !. Over the years, Cozumel has been,
best price/performer. We stayed at Iberostar and had a great time. Tried
Iberostar in Dominican Republic (Bayahibe , La Romano airport) the local
diving was good (surprising) .
That was more economical than Cozumel. $1200 for 9 nights, air(NY), food and
drink. diving was extra , which we received discount for booking early.
Nov trips include:saba,cozumel(4),barbados, bonaire(3), belize,
guanja?,curacao,aruba,dominican republic,
