Any info and experiences diving in Panama would be appreciated.

Suggestions for accomodations (midway between backpacker hammocks and luxury
resort)?

Also, recommendations on not-to-be-missed side trips.  I prefer going on my
own (ideally by rented car), rather than on a tour; small towns and maximum
contact with local  people is ideal.
