This has come up suddenly. Carol is headed to Australia for business
and is going to take a few days before in Sydney. Suddenly I find a
dynamite price LAX-SYD. So I stay with her in Sydney, then what? A
few days with her in Adelaide as she works her a.s off? Or some
diving? The problem is, airfare to Cairns or Townsville is obscene or
outrageously scheduled (like I need another day in Sydney). So, is
there any decent diving closer to either Sydney or Adelaide?
Act quick, we leave Sunday. (Told you it was all of a sudden).

There's not much traffic at aus.sport.scuba anymore, but you might still get
the answer(s) you seek by posting there.
Have a great time, whatever you end up doing.

Plenty. For Adelaide, have a look at http://www.diveexhmashobart.com/
Not dived Sydney myself, though friends have recommended the Manly dive
centre. A couple of hours to the south is Jervis Bay, which is regarded as
one of the better spots on that coast. There's a trip report about it on
my website. Or I've dived north of Sydney in Terrigal.

You could get a train from Sydney heading North, there are some great
places just north ........cant remember how far "South West Rocks" is
now.....but I'm told thats great diving there.
