Have to be there for work next month. Is there any diving that I might take
advantage of?

On the Isle of Capri. $90 Euro for a one tank dive, all equipment rental
included (metric). Water Temp about 55 F. Small boat, bay abuts the cliff.
They speak English - shop is right at the harbor as you get off the Ferry at
Capri.

Ischia has diving as well -$100 Euro for a two tank dive, all equipment
rental included. Same water conditions. He doesn't speak English. It is less
expensive because it is not as touristy as Capri.

It's about as filthy a sea as you'll get. No Italian would go diving there!
If you go a bit further south (not far) there is good diving (for real, not
tourists) at the Tremiti Islands. It's a marine park.
