I will be in Philipsburg, St Maarten in early June (on a cruise). Anyone
have any info on dive shops there that they would recommend?  I hate
diving with the cruise line - too many divers.

thanks

I was there for a few days in November - I thought the diving was
mediocre at best.  I did a day trip to Saba by plane - dove with Sea
Saba - much better than St. Martin

I dove with Dive Safari in Simpson Bay - its near the airport.  They
were okay - not their fault the diving wasn't that great.

One more thought - the traffic in St. Martin can be horrendous.  You
might want to dive with one of the shops at Bobby's Marina, which is
where your cruise ship will probably be docking.  That avaoids the
possibility of missing your sailing because of traffic.

Enjoy.
