Does anyone know of any dive sites in the Rochester, NY area? I would really
love to see some wrecks up there.

I am from Rochester, NY originally. Actually Ontario, NY. But haven't
been there for over ten years now. I don't know personally, but my
uncle does. Let me know your email addy and I'll see if he can offer
some insight.

Hi,

Consider driving a few hours around the lake and dive in Kingston, Ontario.
Best preserved fresh water wrecks in the world.  An hour down the St
Lawrence and you'll be in Brockville, the 2nd best freewsh water wrecks in
the world!

Just some suggestions.....

If you want to dive those waters, you can do it from Alexandria Bay
and not have to spend time driving around the lake.

Agreed, but I was just trying to get him to spend his tourist/diving dollars
from the Canadian side!  Besides, the Kingston wrecks are normally
accessible from Canada.....

:-)

It would still be a shorter drive to go south of Lake Ontario and
cross at the Ivy Lea Bridge.  That puts him what, 15 minutes from
Kingston.  He can spend his money on beer instead of gas.

Ummm...thanks guys, but I think you both missed the point of the question.
I'm looking for dives sites near Rochester. Kingston and Alexandria Bay are
on the eastern edge of the lake at the mouth waters of St. Lawrence. I'm
looking at the southern shore almost in the middle of the lake. Do you have
suggestions for that area?
