When I was in Roatan, I met a fellow traveller from Europe. While the rest
of us complained of many bites, she seemed to have had very few. She showed
me this little gizmo that she carried around with her. Here's an example:

Does anyone have any experience with these? And if so, what's your take on
a gadget of this nature?

I've seen others try those on the island with mixed results. Some people
don't get any bites while others are still devoured like prime rib at a
church social.
Some folks are just lucky not to react to the bites. If they happen to
carry such a device, they give it complete credit.
