We all have different opinions, but, I don't even think it is the best
diving in the Turks and Caicos. We went there for a day on our Wind
Dancer trip and I like Grank Turk better.

You really did not dive there if you went on the Dancer. They didn't know
the sites and twenty divers hitting the water will scare anything away. We
would sit on the hotel deck and laugh our a.ses off at where the Dancer was
taking its divers. The only decent spot it went is the Grotto (aka Eagle Ray
Roundup). That site, however, is very sensitive to crowds. I have pictures
of it with squads of 20+ Eagle Rays swimming above; 8 foot wing span
southern rays; multiple reef sharks. You get the picture! (pun, pun).
Turtles? I have never been to South where we didn't see dozens in a week;
usually at least one on every dive.
Do you seriously think that a day of dives at a location gives one a
perspective to make a knowledgeable judgement? I have about a hundred dives
at South and perhaps twenty on Grand Turk. South is much better.
If you don't believe me, don't come. I don't care.

I base my opinions on my own observations.

Almost missed this thread.
Interestingly, I came independently to the SAME conclusion as Dan. :-)
It was a refuge dump back in 1995. Even if they cleaned it up, the
dive sites are not comparable to the better ones in other islands of
Turks and Caicos, e.g., the French Cays.

Sounds good. Keep me posted on details.
