Someone on a plane Sunday told me that an abalone diver was taken by a shark, presumably a great white, in Bodega Bay (CA, ~50 miles north of San Francisco) on Saturday. Anyone else hear about it? Could have been. The guy who told me about it had read about it but was not a diver. He did mention abalone, but he wouldn't have known the diff between a skin diver and a scuba diver.
