I've only stayed in the Naama Bay Hotel (3 times) and have no problems
recommending it

I have also stayed at the Naama Bay twice now and will be going back there
next time. We have also stayed at 2 Hiltons, the Rossetta and the Ocean
College.

Advantages of the Naama Bay are

very close to the jetty where you catch the dive boats so you get extra time
in bed in the mornings.
very close to the main strip (it's right at one end) so close to the main
bars (the Tavern and Camel bar) and restuarants and general night life.
Excellent rooms 5*, great pools, pool bars and breakfast (the best spread
I've seen in Namma bay)
Beach is small but there is enough room for all and you can spend your time
laughing at the Italians playing Bingo? and having dancing/aerobics/volly
ball lessons from the hotel staff.

Disadvantages
The hotel entertainment leans very heavily towards the Italian and Russian
guests and really is best given a wide birth.
If you get a room close to the roof top entertainment you will have to
request a move as it is quite noisy. However they moved us straight away no
problems.

Well, i guess its a matter of taste but i allways stay at the Hyatt, i
think its good value for money, excellent quality etc but i know there are
one or two others of equal standing.

I've stayed in the Hilton Dreams 3 times with no problems.

The Hyatt Marriot is supposed to be one of the most luxurious but youll need
to get a taxi into Naama bay as its a few miles out.

Yes, its quite nice............you dont have to get a taxi.......you use
the mini bus/coach that is laid on (foc) to take you to the car park at
the top end of the street in Naama Bay (by the Naama Bay Hotel), it also
collects you when you return, again foc.

Its not even a few miles out, its just past the Casino going toward the
airport, i would not want to walk it all the same.

The Sonesta Beach Hotel is ok too, food there was good, its "old" now
compared to a lot of hotels there but we liked it.

Also the Iberotel in El Maya......3 times in that one, the best hotel food
in Sharm and a great hotel, it has changed its name twice since we were
there last, it is situated next to the *SETI* hotel at the bottom of the
hill on the one way system, it has its own private beach and nice
gardens...
