Hello everyone,

my boyfriend and i are going to burma for three weeks in january 2005. we
would love to go diving in burma since we are not going to have time to
travel to thailand or indonesia. we have searched the internet but only find
information about diving safaris organized from thailand to burma. does
anyone know a school in burma? i heard that there is one but just cannot
find any address or name.

Kim.

That is about all you will find, even 'Lonely Planet' and 'rough guide'
don't have anything in it.

Which begs the question...

Is there such thing as a Diver Travel series?

Perhaps because you're still using the antiquated name of Burma, which will
likely get you shot or at least tortured if you do it in country.  Try
'myanmar scuba' which will give you hits like myanmarscuba.com.  (Note that
I do not endorse the aforementioned dive op, but merely offer it as the
first hit resulting from my Google(tm) search - I'm diving in Burma this
December from the comfort of a Thai liveaboard mainly because I don't care
for commie food).

On 'Commie' food, Vietnam was pretty damn good food!
