So I am looking at going to Cuba this winter, and of course want to go diving, what is the best area for diving in Cuba? Specific resort suggestions? I will also have my girlfriend and 6 month old (that is how old he will be at the time) so it is not 100% dive vacation and child friendly resorts are handy (although at that age not imperative) Thanks a bunch everyone! :) d my favourite is Guardalavaca - about 20 buoyed sites, bonus snorkeling 200m off th beach - and shade trees lots of hotel choices - 4 at Guardalavaca beach, and about 6 others within 10kms I've stayed mostly at Club Amigo Guardalavaca - it's the least expensive for a bit more upscale - the Brisas, or Amigo Guardalavaca villas here's some info - but a bit dated http://www.cuba.tc/Guardalavaca/CuGuardalavaca.html diving also was good at Ancon (Trinidad), and Santa Lucia NOT Varadero - just sand here's the dive centre at Guardalavaca http://www.cubalinda.com/English/Activities/ScubaDiving/ScubaCenterDetails.asp?C enter=21#Detail1 here's a list of dive sites - some are a bit isolated, and might be just dive oriented http://usacubatravel.com/divinglocation.htm Sandy > So I am looking at going to Cuba this winter, and of course want to go > diving, what is the best area for diving in Cuba? I know that Santiago De Cuba is the second largest city and it has its own airport but do you also know how far the nearest hospital is?
