companies? there is only 1 company in Cuba :-)
I dove with Eagle Ray a year ago - with the same divemaster
I dove with 12 years ago on my 1st dive. Some other divemasters have
changed.
They've always been good - boats leave twice a day - the
sites have permanent buoys - a year ago we fed 200 pound
black groupers
(that's Guardalavaca)
I've no idea about the US diving site - if you are from the US - you
have other problems with travel to Cuba - if from anywhere else, just
go - and there will be diving.
but, although it's easy to get flights to Varadero - it is probably
the poorest diving in Cuba - and distances are big - so you
can't go there - and plan to dive somewhere else.
here's another link - I think it's Cuban - so not always up
to date
http://www.cuba.tc/!CubaScubaE.html
I've been to Guardalavaca, Santa Lucia - interesting bull shark experience,
Ancon (Trindad) - whale shark encounter - but I was sleeping in that day,
Playa Giron - if you like crabs and swamp - and Varadero - nice sand
I've heard good stuff about other sites - but some aren't a accessable -
or have little else to do - like Cayo Largo, Cayo Coco, Jardin
des la REina
Guardalavaca is the only place I've been to where the reef is so close -
you can swim out and snorkel - no need for a boat.
it's a very scenic area - hilly, royal palms
their scuba sites are all boat dives
here's info on the beach area - note the little photo -
where you see whitecaps behind the sailboat - that's the reef
and the shade trees on the beach come in very handy
enjoy,
Sandy

OK, so you were only showing those URL's to back up you info on
locations/sites/operators and not to show them as an option for someone to
book their trip to Cuba . . is that right?

Exactly.
That said, like you, I don't have any problem getting to Cuba, if I so
desire. But those URL's claimed to be able to help Americans get to Cuba.
And I believe they've been out of business for a year or more. That's all I
meant.

you're right - that was just info on diving locations - and
new US regulations make it harder to go to Cuba - including airlines
sharing passenger lists with immigration
there are tons of places to check for flights and packages
here's a couple in Canada - and any travel agent has access to
the info
