Last year I downloaded a pdf tide table that showed each day with a
wavy line corresponding to the tides. I've asked around and people
keep referring me to ones that show only a few days, but I swear I had
one that showed the entire year. AND it was downloadable and printable
and free.

Now where the hell did I find this and why didn't I write it down?

Go to Google, enter tide table. Lots and lots of hits.

A better  question  is why you can't  find it again.  Google.com is a
wonderful thing.  BTW, I  have a free program  that runs on my PDA.   Better
still.

I think I have the same program and its excellent and really cheap. For
anyone else its free, I will let YOU have a copy for only $10 cash.

Maybe it's gone.

Maybe aliens, or Bill Gates, have altered the software on his computer just
to ensure he can't find it.  Either it's gone or it's not.  In this case,
maybe isn't real helpful.

I haven't seen that, but I did find a program called "Tide Tool" that
is a free PDA application that's good for any location in the database
and gives exact tide figures (like Avalon is not the same as Long
Beach, time or height).

That's the program I mentioned that is on my PDA.  It calculates tides
rather than getting frequent updates from real observations.  Theoretically,
this means it may not be particularly precise.  So far, however, it's been
good enough for my navigation needs.
