Just curious....should I carry a gun onboard a boat when I'm renting a boat
to go out diving?

Thanks if anyone can help!

Welcome to rec.scuba. Has anyone insulted you yet?

Here in rec.scuba we are proud of our freedom to post whatever
we like and talk about anything. All the OT posters are *so* cool.
Just ask them. They'll tell you.

"If you don't like it, don't read it". That's what  they
always say, or the really creative ones will line up to be first
to say "don't let the door hit you in the a.s on the way out".

That's how it is here, see?

I went diving last weekend. Water temperatures were back up to 75,
and visibility was around 80 feet. The seas were running 1-3 yards.

No.... not needed.... Only gun use I have heard of in FL waters where
disputes over fishing and diving spots.  These would be best served by
leaving the spot and calling the police... not having a shootout...
