What are good choices for AED's on dive boats?  I need one that comes
in a strong case and has safeguards against corrosion.  Oh yeah, and
doesn't become technically obsolete by the time I pay it off and the
1st year of medical direction runs out...thanks, AG

(of course, you may need it when you see the price ;-)

Clearly bad and outdated advice.  Makes you wonder about anything else you
get on here.  Actually, most everything that I read on here is bad!

For what you want with an AED, check out:

http://www.accesscardiosystems.com/
and
http://www.defibtech.com/

Both companies have units around $1,200 - $1,500...

They're not intended for the marine environment

(what was that about bad advice???)

You're a dickhead.  None of them are waterproof for the marine environment.
The Access Cardiosystems unit is completely enclosed in a waterproof case.

Have you actually ever touched any of the units?

Can you even spell AED?

Hey...better yet...do you carry a gun on your boat?

Based on what, your opinion?

None of them are waterproof for the marine environment.

Waterproof cases help, but they don't protect against the high humdity
and salt present in the marine environment. Have you actually spent
any time at sea? Have you a actually worked on any electronics that
have spent time at sea?

>Have you actually ever touched any of the units?

Yes.

>Can you even spell AED?

That's a toughie. I'll have to get back to you.

>Hey...better yet...do you carry a gun on your boat?

Of course. Flare guns (or flares) are required by the USCG.

No, it's quite obvious.  I submit past postings as evidence.

If you submit them, where are they?

I hope you go into ventricular fibrillation and die.

Care to be a little more specific, or are you just running your fingers
just to play with yourself?

It's amazing how the same a.sholes keep answering too.  I've gotten a lot of
amusement out of it all.  I'm going to see if keeping it posted for a month
will keep getting responses.
