Hi,

I'm planning to be in Fiji at the end of February and want to learn to
dive whilst I'm there.

Can anyone (dis)recommend any schools out there and any locations that
are particularly good.

Cheers

If at all possible, get your classes etc out of the way locally (if at all
possible, get your dives out of the way locally too) in your home town and
take a referral to Fiji. There are fly by night courses in most vacation
spots, but I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

Get certified at home. It will be more thorough. And if you don't have a
wet suit, get your own custom one. Resort courses aren't very thorough
and the suit they'll give you will likely be ill-fiting. You don't want
to dive like that.
