I'm interested in anyone's opinion who has dove either the Diverite Classic
Wings  or the Halcyon Explorer wings and backplate. This spring I will be
switching to steel doubles for use in Lake Michigan. I would like to know
how you liked or disliked either system and what you would recommend if you
had to start over. Thanks in advance,

They're also much cheaper at www.covci.com

Both work well. I personally like the Halcyon wings better but only if I
can find them used. They are seriously overpriced.

The diverite classics have been around for years and are possibly the
most used wings on the market.

You really can't go wrong with either of the ones you mentioned - I'd
let my wallet decide.

You might also want to check out Deep Outdoors. Construction similar to
Halcyon but priced better.

I own Diverite, Halycon, OxyCheq and Scuba-Pro (1970's vintage) wings.
All are good quality products. The value of the OxyCheq wings cannot be
beat.

Also look into the OMS wings. I dive their 'dir style' wing and am
very satisfied with it. And at 175$ you can't beat the value.

My next wings will be made by OxyCheq.  I will be purchasing a singles wing
before spring.  I *sold* a Halcyon setup - planning full well to replace it
with the OxyCheq.
