Hi -
I am heading towards the Caribbean - can anyone tell me if there are any
islands up north where one can work as a DM?

Thanks

Sure. They are always hiring DMs in the BVI's, AVI's and the Caymans.
Just show up at a dive shop and they'll hire you in a second.

Maybe.

And until then, bring lots of cash to cover your living expenses until
you actually get hired ;-)

In the Caymans?  Really?  Without a work permit?

If at first you don't succeed, you run the risk of failure.

I wonder what is involved with getting the work permit in the Caymans.  I
have friends that moved there about 4 years ago, one to instruct, the other
to DM.

If you're a PADI member, you can look at the employment opportunities on the
website.

What does divemastering have to do with coffee anyway?

A couple of cups of coffee is the best way to heat the wet suit.
Either before the dive or during it.
