I didn't my first OR fluoro Tuesday.  Hp replacement.  I set up the
pre-op shot, took it and the doc shouted out the statement in the
subject line.  The procedure went very well.  If you've never been
awake in the OR, it can be very interesting.  So are deadly queit,
some have the music pounding out, shouting, laughing, dirty (filthy
sometimes) jokes, discussions on things like horses and vacations.
I've had two techs and a PA ask for lessons.

I've also been sprayed with a huge amount of blood and marrow on one
occassion.  The doc announced "everybody in gowns, boots, eye
protection and double gloves."

OR is interesting.  I'll request another rotation next summer.

Took my first year competencies two weeks ago.  Missed an elbow (not
enough obliquity) and an ankle (clipped the calcaneous, the back part
of the heel).  Retest is next week.  It looks like there are 15 of us
out of a class of 24.

Can you please re-type all of that above again and try to have it make
sense?   You sound high as a kite,  or else like an idiot.  Is your
dead father,  the one who is supposed to be the guy who got the Silver
Star but isn't on the government records,  carrying you over for these
profs?

Since it doesn't have a college education (having dropped out of high
school) it can't appreciate what is required to attain an extremely
difficult degree.  And I don't remember it being around when I started
this journey 3 years ago.

Yea right.

Do you live in the USA?  Do you speak English?  Your typing is a bit
off.  I guess you pay someone to proof your reports for college?

Why are you giving, as you call it, the  "pre-op shot"?  The nurse or
the PA usually does that.  What exactly are you taking up?  You
learning to give injections?  Or are you doing anest?

And what is up with this statement of yours:  "I've also been sprayed
with a huge amount of blood and marrow on one occassion.  The doc
announced "everybody in gowns, boots, eye protection and double
gloves."    What?    The hospital didn't require you to wear that into
the OR to start with?  If you're doing ortho,  you're usually wearing
plastic because of the bone chips.  So you got sprayed with a huge
amount of blood and marrow?   After that happened, did you have to
fill out an incident report and/or did they offer you a test for HIV?
