Hey Dillon,  I  have searched the internet records of Silver Star
recipients for all US wars and conflicts and they don't show your
daddy's name.   I'm not surprised at all.

I searched under your name since you said this  :    " Oh my God,
another witty retort that I am totally unable to answer. Of course,
I'm actually Jr.  And proud of my father, who was awarded a Silver
Star. "

Lets not let go unaddressed not only all you quickly and efficiently put,
but the simple fact that most who did serve are happy to share real name,
unit and folks served with, and happy to give any contact info needed.

Bring it, dont whine it.

"They" demand "Identifiable" pictures of your truck, as if these c.nt

I have pics of your tractor parked in my neighbors driveway (a local judge).
She would have none of a friend of mine, a Marine, not parking where she had
space (and no, there wasnt a trailer for 30 miles or so).

I'm not the one that keeps bringing up the truck, for over a year now.

I'm not the one that's too STUPID, STUPID, STUPID to work a URL.

I'm not the one that whined and cried for someone, -anyone-, to provide
them with a URL that they were TOO STUPID, STUPID, STUPID to use anyway, and
then called everybody a liar to cover his own PARAMOUNT STUPIDITY.

I'm not the one, who, now that the correct URLs have been provide
directly, is SO FUCKIN RETARDED he can't see a 75 ft long, 35,000 lb
vehicle -right- in front of his hebetating face.

I'm not the one that is TOO LAZY and TOO f.ck-WITTED to provide cites that
he chimps about over and over, so that two fine charities would get $1000.

I'm not the one who runs around leg-humping in other threads to cover
his -abject- humiliation.

That would all be Futile David Frank of Team Futile.

I'm not the a.shole buddy that scurried and shanked you when he could
have -easily- helped-

That's your Godhead Futile John Francis, the spineless, quivering squid
who's a.s you keep your nose up.

Who -I- am, is the guy with the spine and integrity to bet a THOUSAND
DOLLARS on my word.

 $1000 on Team 3.

The bet stands, while you and Johnny Boy do the Usenet Electric Slide
Scurry, and the archives, as they always do, back me 100%

 Right, STUPID.

Most comments on the NG don't relate to somebody else's service.

Those lists are -notoriously- inaccurate, and who the f.ck is he (besides
your backchannel buddy carl) to point fingers at anyone?

Listen, did you find your picture yet?

What "attack" are you talking about, Bub?

Cite please.

You have got to be joking if you think that this 4/17/08 comment was
an attack:

Now if you want my advice on responsible posting, I've already done
that...back in 1998.

Since the situation that lead to the above comment was from someone
(you?) doing a crappy job of making a citation, the exercise is now
left up to you to go find that citation, rather than for me to simply
provide a URL.  yes, I know this is 'rude', but it is to prove the
point by being rude.  Happy web searching...don't die of old age

Dillon Pyron claimed that his father won a Silver Star.  However,
none of the websites that support info on vets have his name for a

Then why aren't you doing your part to get them put on the freaking

doing something to help your family members and their honor?

Your momma.  I already told you that.  And you know that if YOU

It doesn't take much effort at all to find out that there are no
online resources that are complete lists of all recipients.  If you
look a bit further, you'll find that this even includes the Bronze and/
or Silver Stars awarded within the past year.

See:

<http://www.amervets.com/bsmedl.htm#prp>

> Imagine that.

Imagine that all it then takes to prove you as a pathetic liar is for
any one reader here to provide a .jpg of any Vet's original award
certificate that you can't find online.

But that is rather trivial to do, so rather than simply proving that
you're an a.shole, here's a more useful opportunity:

First, you agree to the following offer, and put some money into
Escrow with Greg so that you can't Welch Out of what follows:

Second, the posters here provide some reasonble documentation of a
Silver or Bronze Star having being awarded, such as a .jpg of an old
photo of the individual wearing it, a .jpg of the original award
certificate, letter from a Service, etc.  This represents the
challenge.

Third, you then must provide a credible online citation that
'documents' the above 'challenge' award recpient, to demonstrate your
claim that all Stars are currently documented through online
services.

If you fail to do so within 24 hours, then $100 of your Escrowed funds
are sent by Greg to Reef Relief as a charitable donation.

But if you *can* provide a credible online citation that the above
award recipient was documented (within 24 hours), then only $50 of
your Escrowed funds are sent to Reef Relief as a charitable donation,
and the poster who submitted the Vet's name will double that amount
and provide a $100 donation to Reef Relief.

Finally, if after a week you have gone "Oh Fer" by not being able to
match up any Vets with online records in part 3, then your total
donations to Reef Relief are doubled.

Deal?  Or will you Cut & Run?

With the use of computers, service records are a bit more complete these
days than they were even as recently as 30 years ago... The government is
pretty good about keeping records of things, they're just not necessarily
that accurate with the records sometimes (i.e. quantify vs quality)...
Back in the old days, everything was paper and you carried your record
with you from one duty station to another... Things got lost (or even
added)... There was probably a record somewhere else, but who know how
long a service member might go before a discrepancy was found... Military
payroll records have probably always had problems with them... It was
quite common aboard ship to see quite a few people down at the disbursing
office trying to straighten out their pay records... If they can't get the
pay right, I have no doubt that they might screw up the records on
citations also... Assuming the Dillon's father was in WWII, I would not be
the least surprised to learn that the government had the records screwed
up... A few years ago, I was working on a fault tolerant communication
layer for replication of personnel information between ship and shore...
Basically keeping the databases in sync... During my testing, I looked up
some names of individuals whom I had served with while in the Navy many
yeas ago... Some were listed, some weren't... Others who were still in the
Navy were listed at a different rank than they currently held... All in
all, considering the number of 'employees' and 'former employee's, the
military does pretty good, but with that many people, it's not uncommon
for things to kind of slip through the cracks...

your father was ailing hard and was ready to pass away from some lung
problem.  And then someone put up a post you made a FEW YEARS AGO
